The unique component of the MBA – Urban Management and Governance programme is that the Urban Learning Experience (ULE) where the students are attached with Urban Local Bodies to know the aspects of city governance and obtain hands-on learning experience by assisting the government officials within the on-going urban projects. This year’s ULE took place in ULBs of various cities like Angul Municipality, Berhampur Municipal Corporation, Bhadrak Municipality, and Rourkela Municipal Corporation and a few of the projects that the students were engaged in are – designing and organizing the first-ever District Level Sanitation Meet cum Vada Khanna, to mark this event as a Twitter-based crowd funding initiative was also unveiled for providing welfare support of our sanitation workers and identification of Garbage Vulnerable Points and its beautification by designing the space for avoiding dumping of waste was done at Angul, identification and analysis of the implementation of gaps in advasi basti, was carried out at Bhadrak, which also analyzed the status of JAGA mission in Bhadrak. Beautification of Berhampur city and also analysis of the implementation gaps of PMAY within the bastis was done. City beautification, analysis of Infrastructure gaps in several slums of Rourkela, and therefore the way effectively PMAY and JAGA mission go on in Rourkela was administered.
