On 22nd August, the  Career Advisory Services of the School of Human Settlements, XIM University, hosted VYUHAM 4.0 – the Annual Urban Business Conclave, bringing together industry leaders and students for meaningful conversations on the future of cities.

Held under the theme “Managing Cities of Tomorrow: Leadership, Innovation and Climate Resilience,” the conclave explored key perspectives on urban development, sustainability, mobility, real estate, innovation and climate resilience. Three dedicated sessions explored critical dimensions of the urban landscape on themes – From Corporate Responsibility to Urban Resilience: ESG, CSR and the Sustainable City, Real Estate for Resilient Cities: Sustainability and Urban Futures and Navigating Urban Transformation: Mobility, Innovation and Risk Resiliency.

With distinguished speakers from diverse sectors, the event offered students valuable insights into emerging urban challenges and opportunities to build more sustainable and resilient cities.

The distinguished professionals associated with the programme include Mr. Anand Kulkarni, Technical Director, ESG, KPMG; Mr. Alok Vijayvergia, Chief Sustainability Officer, Hinduja Group; and Ms. Souma Sekhar, Associate Director, PwC. Their expertise spans ESG, sustainability, corporate strategy, and responsible business practices.

The programme also features Mr. Debabrata Patra, Associate Director, ActionAid; Dr. Ruby Makhija, Founder, Why Waste Wednesdays; and Mr. Chintansinh Suratia, Head – CSR Advisory, SGS India Private Limited, bringing perspectives on social impact, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.

Further, Mr. Kishor Nathani, Managing Director & CEO, UMTC; Mr. Karan Gupta, Director, Anarock Property Consultants; and Ms. Akanksha Upadhyay, Head – Carbon Market Partnerships, Re Sustainability Company, add valuable expertise from leadership, property consulting, and carbon-market partnerships.

Through Vyuham 4.0, Career Advisory Services and the School of Human Settlements seek to facilitate meaningful engagement between students and industry professionals. The interaction will provide participants with valuable insights into emerging trends, professional practices, sustainability challenges, and evolving opportunities across sectors.

The initiative reflects XIM University’s commitment to creating opportunities for experiential learning, industry engagement, and holistic development, empowering students to connect classroom learning with contemporary professional realities.
