The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, GOI has declared the month of January as the ‘Climate Change Awareness Month.’ As part of the initiative, the School of Human Settlements, XIM University, in collaboration with the School of Architecture, Vellore Institute of Technology had, organized a role-play exercise on 21st January 2022 with the B.Arch final year students of V-SPARC titled, “Developing Vellore as a Sustainable City in Context to Climate Change”. The exercise aimed to generate awareness among students about the importance and role of various stakeholders in the city in bringing about effective development. The exercise led to an insightful discussion regarding the current and future needs for the city of Vellore.
